Director of Family & Volunteer Services
Reporting to the Executive Director, you provide support to our families, manage the day-to-day operations of the House, and ensure our volunteers feel supported, motivated and valued in their work. Your leadership and professional experience is based on 5+ years working in the human or family service sector and you are proficient in Microsoft Office and database management.
You are warm, friendly, thoughtful and organized. Because you attend to every detail - and the unique needs of our guest families - you are a key contributor to the smooth functioning of our House.
Start date - as soon as possible.
The Director of Family & Volunteer Services is responsible for:
- Guest family relations;
- Supervising paid relief staff, housekeeping staff and volunteers;
- Day to day operations and maintenance of the House including the welfare of guest families; liaises with local medical centres, social workers and all other organizations and agencies as needed;
- Organizing the Volunteer program;
- Communication between House and Hospital staff;
- Working with the Executive Director to ensure the House is a safe, sound and well maintained facility;
- Working with the Executive Director to ensure the Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan Policy and Procedures Manual and Volunteer Manual are up to date with accurate documents.
Preference will be given to those candidates who:
- Have 5+ yearsˇ¦ experience and/or training in a related human or family service field;
- Have demonstrated leadership skills and initiative;
- Have demonstrated teamwork;
- Have experience and proficiency in working in Microsoft Office and data base management;
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Have demonstrated organizational skills, attending to details and setting priorities.
