Adopt-A-Room Program

Adopt a Room Campaign

BACKGROUND:

Ronald McDonald House Charities Saskatchewan, located in Saskatoon, at 1011 University Drive, provides a welcome retreat for families who are often exhausted emotionally and physically following medical treatment for a seriously ill child. Our doors originally opened on September 12th, 1985 ready to serve approximately 650 families annually. Now as we expand to serve 34 families at a time, from virtually every community in our province, and beyond we open our doors to serve 1,700 families a year while remaining the only Ronald McDonald House in Saskatchewan.

THE OPPORTUNITY: THE ADOPT–A-ROOM PROJECT

We have 34 rooms available for adoption and the cost of adopting a room is $10,000 a year for a minimum of three years. This donation can be paid annually at $10,000 for three years to support a family guest room or can be made in  lump sum payment. Either funding option will receive a full three years of recognition with the option for renewal.

FAMILY BENEFITS

Each guest room costs $30,000 each year to operate, so the Adopt-A-Room program covers 1/3 of the cost per year and directly impacts family stay at the House.

RECOGNITION:

  • Our Adopt-A-Room partners will receive the option of receiving a one time acknowledgement in a local newspaper- the newspaper of their choice- in the concluding year of the donation.
  • Recognition will be displayed for three years on our website www.rmh.sk.ca and each year in our annual newsletter
  • Name on Donor Wall
  • Name on Room – on wall plaque
  • VIP reception, at the House, to honour the room adoption
  • Invitation to ‘Open’ House events
