Our REDI Commitment

Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Commitment (REDI)
At RMHC – SK we strive to create equitable experiences for all people, at all times. We recognize the value and importance of incorporating diverse perspectives in the ways that we serve families, and conduct business, and are dedicated to ongoing learning in the areas of reconciliation, equity, diversity and inclusion in order to create positive change. In regular review of progress through the Global Diversity Equity Inclusion Benchmark (GDEIB) Assessment, we actively review our work to continue to strengthen our organization.
As such, we make the following commitments:
A commitment to Truth and Reconciliation:
Through our acknowledgment of Saskatchewan as a traditional territory of First Nations and Metis people, and serving families from Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10, we commit to regular review and implementation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action that are relevant to serving families where we have a position to impact positive change.
A commitment to Equity:
We commit to creating an organizational culture that enables regular review and adaptation of policies, practices and structures in our intentional work towards equity.
A commitment to Diversity:
We commit to creating an environment that attracts people from a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives. We acknowledge that each of our perspectives have strengths and weaknesses, and a diverse environment allows us to learn the best from one another.
A commitment to Inclusion:
By way of consistent actions and intentions, we commit to creating an environment where all feel that they belong and are included in sharing their voice to strengthen and drive the organization forward in this work.
Overall we are committed to intentionally deepening and broadening our understanding of other’s perspectives and lived experiences. We commit to developing and implementing annual Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) plans in alignment with organization wide Professional Development Plans.
The Statement of Commitment will be reviewed annually and respected and honored for present and future generations.
