Ronald McDonald Family Room

Since 2016, the Family Room has supported more than 3,000 families from Prince Albert Victoria Hospital and the Saskatchewan Health Authority, an average of 7 – 10 families a day. Clearly this expansion is making a big difference for families on the PEDS unit. In fact, one mother wrote: “This family room is so heartwarming and cozy – it would probably be so boring and lonely if it wasn’t here”.

This partnership between RMHC-SK and the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is the first of its kind in our province and will help support families in northern Saskatchewan health regions. The 1,300 square foot family room space is a place for families to escape the hospital setting and enjoy the comforts of home in a comfortable, and inclusive environment.

 The Family Room is operated by staff & volunteers of RMHC-SK and our doors are currently open 7 days a week from 9:00am-6:00pm.
